What is Make Music Day?+
Make Music Day (Make Music Day | Make Music) is a worldwide celebration of music with its main date on June 21st — and the celebration runs all week long. Unlike a typical festival, it is open to anyone who wishes to take part. Every city in Brazil creates its own symphony, with musicians of all ages and genres taking over streets, parks and squares to share their art.
Is participation free?+
Yes, 100% free. Make Music Day is a non-commercial global event. All performances are free and open to the public. Likewise, there are no fees for musicians or venues to register and join the official network.
How can I register as a musician or venue?+
Registration is done through our national platform. Musicians create a profile, venues register their spaces, and both can connect to schedule performances. The process is intuitive and aims to democratize access to the stage for every kind of talent. Register here
Who can take part?+
Anyone! From amateurs to professionals, from children to seniors, in any musical genre. The goal is pure, inclusive celebration. If you make music, this day is yours.
What is ANAFIMA's role in Brazil?+
ANAFIMA (National Association of the Music Industry) is the organization responsible for the national coordination of Make Music Day in Brazil. It provides logistical support, communication materials, strategic partnerships, and ensures that the festival keeps its global essence on Brazilian soil.
Can my city or school organize the event?+
Absolutely. Music schools are vital hubs for Make Music Day. Cities can appoint local leaders to organize performance points. We provide the full brand guide and the guidance you need to transform your community through music.
